Sita Ramar Kalyanam Utsavam
In our devastanam The Sita Rama Kalayana Utsavam celebrates the wedding of Lord Rama and his wife, Sita. This festival is a significant event in Hindu tradition, symbolizing righteousness, love, and devotion.
Rituals and Offerings
At our temple, the Kovil Pancharatna Agamic way of pooja is conducted during this day. The key aspects include:
Abhishekam
Offerings of water, milk, ghee, and other sacred substances to sanctify the deities.
Arati
Lighting of lamps and offering them in front of Lord Rama and Sita, followed by circumambulation.
Aloka Prasada
Offering of lighted lamps around the holy idols.
Sangeetha Kirtanam
Singing devotional songs and reciting Vedic hymns dedicated to Lord Rama and Sita.
Naivedya and Prasadam
Serving sweets and other offerings as naivedya, which is then distributed as prasadam (blessed food) to all devotees.
